Mdm6005 Starter Drive (bendix)

Hi folks, wondering if anyone might know where I can source a starter drive for an Autolite MDM6005

I did find on another forum that some used a Filco P/N SD-32 successfully, I'm just striking out on cross referencing the part.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....Pete

 

Thats a good question. Both of my starters work fine, on both motors, but I would not know what to do if I needed a Bendix? It seams like everyone puts a Toyota starter on an F 134 instead of fixing the autolite starter? Good Luck.

 

Thanks for the reply Rick. This comes out of a friends 58 CJ6 with just over 9,000 original miles so there will be no Toyota starter in this jeep. I had one in another jeep I bought years ago that came with a Toyota starter, but it engaged inconsistently.

My Wife still uses the stand you gave me for a Coat Rack by the back door. Thanks for the memories Pete. I miss the days when there were starter and generator shops all over the place.
