Searching For Nuts

Have to be careful how I word that one! What I am looking for is a source for the nuts that hold the shocks on the upper mounts. I will have a picture attached. The nut is a strange design that makes up part of the shaft that the shock eyelet rides on. It's only the top mounts, the lower mounts are full length and just use a regular type flanged nut. I am guessing that they are a locking type thread of some sort. I'm not sure what these nuts are called. I have been poking around on the interwebs for a couple of days and haven't found any reference to them. If I can't find them I can just put a bushing on the shaft to simulate the back side of the weird nut. Thanks.

Appears as if it was a unique part, as if to retroactively extend the length of the bearing surface for the shock bushing. Perhaps a production line change-order for different shocks?

If so, I'd guess that adding a bushing would allow you to use a standard flange nut. Maybe best if a thread-locking type, or with some loctite or a cotter pin.

At first I thought the bushing was just stuck on the back of the nut, but it's threaded all the way through, probably so it can be tightened down without a locknut. I just went and got some new top-lock nuts and installed the shocks with washers all around. The top mounts were 7/16-20 and the lowers were 1/2-20, except for one, it was 7/16 like the upper ones. Go figure, my jeep must have been a Friday jeep. Thanks all.

I found my nuts! They were in the box marked carb parts, right were they should have been?
Oh well, I'll just hang on to them in case the other ones don't work out. This time I'll make sure to put them in the box marked light bulbs.

Make sure you hold on to your nuts.

Yep, you might need them, and if you loose them you can't replace them, Mc Master carr might not have them either.
