I looked at those pictures and my first thought was "Holy crap they still have snow on the ground!".

 

Well..

 

My buddy bought the blue one, it's a 1980, not a 76. Ended up paying 1k

Red one the guy wanted 1k, wouldn't budge. No Title, fiberglass body and a hodgepodge of junk. I passed.

New home

 

I like the green, the gold, and the Acme top. It would be a really nice Jeep fixed up.

 

He got it home, poured gas in it, and it fired up. Firewall is rotted out where the clutch pivots, and the clutch is out, but he is a professional fabricator so once he fixes those, it should be a decent beater

 

Time to go with a hydraulic clutch.

 

That would be nice for the Wisconsin winter, but they suck in the summertime.
Barely any ventilation with those tiny sliding windows.

 

He also got a soft top with it

 

Would the Vin tell if this was a golden eagle package?
