Is the wiper motor the same for the one mounted on the lower outside (72?) as the one that is mount to the lower inside?

Just hooked double checked mine to see if everything works tonight as one of the final pieces to my build and it fried I think?

The 68-75 wiper motor has a different part # than the later one that mounts on the inside.
The 3 wires are are power inputs for low, high and park, the motor is gounded through it's
housing, if you try to bench test one DO NOT connect a ground to any of the wires, ground the motor housing. On my 72 I had to run a ground wire from the wiper motor to a chassis ground because the windshield frame didn't always provide a good ground.

    Thanks! That's a big help.

    Thanks Mike!

I'll bench test it one more time and then start searching for a new one. I doubt if I'll ever drive it the rain here in CA but I hate to leave them non functional.

So if I'm reading this right, the new windshield wiper motors will work on the '72 and '74 models as long as you ground the motor housing and and I guess only wire to the high and low speeds????:?
