Need to remove rear driveshaft and e-brake for rebuild. At the parking brake drum, One of the four nuts that hold the drive shaft flange yoke to the rear companion flange is turning the bolt. Maybe I'm blind but I can't see how to get in behind to get a back-up wrench on the bolt head.

There's an easy answer here, just can't see it.

I had the same problem. I believe the bolt is supposed to be held in a keeper. I cut the nut off mine.

Hmmm, looks like the bolt will be damaged in the process. I want to remove the e-brake on the transfer case and use my new 11" rear drum e-brakes. Guess it's time to pull out the cut-off wheel and grind the nut through.

Mine did the same. I ended up putting a socket on the bolt, and putting pressure on the bolt by sliding a screw driver under the nut and pulling head of the bolt against the drum even tighter. Or just cut it off if you're not going to use it again...

Bolt cut and all is disassembled. Wasn't expecting the t/c to bleed all over the floor when I removed the rear companion flange. Learning.
