Transfer case useful info

    Interesting info....had to climb under the '55 CJ-5, T90A-1, 134 F head, two lever transfer case, and look...my transfer case has the word "Spicer" in the diamond on the back of the case...the article shows the word "Dana" in the same spot...all the same I suppose.

    Old ones (MA & MB?) had Brown & Lipe tags: not sure when the Spicer came off and Dana on, but most from mid to late 40's to mid 60's are "Spicer" and the later ones "Dana". All came from the same place as far as I know. Spicer bought Brown & Lipe in 1929-well before the D18 arrived on the scene.
