Hi guy's, i have a problem with my wiper system, never get it to work properly. I have an aftermarket windsheild frame. My wiper on pass side whatever fix i'm tring, always finish by getting stuck down on right side when looking forward to the jeep. It also cause the frame to bind a little bit around the hole of pass side wiper. When i pull off the wiper arm on pass side and leave the driver one in place the system is working properly whitout any binding or sometine else. I could run only with drivers wiper on but i would like to have both working properly. Any sollution to this problem. I already try to put a big washer with a key hole i drill in replacement of the small bushing, it worked sometime but finish binding once again.

    Thank for helping

I had a similar issue with my wipers. Here is what I did to fix it. I took the wipers off and marked 12 o'clock with a black sharpie. Then turned the wipers on without the wiper blades and watched the marks. From there I positioned and repositioned the wipers until they moved freely.

Thought of one more thing you could try. You could try adjusting the home position. I believe my is at 9 o'clock if you are looking at the wiper motor while sitting in the driver seat. My wipers move from right to left and finish on the right.

    Hope this helps...

the hole in the frame is most likely not in the correct spot.

After the metal in the frame opening gets the "oil can" effect, there isn't much you can do.
However, Chrysler had a TSB field fix with limited success for 90's era Wranglers that experienced "over center syndrome".
That repair consisted of attaching a reinforcment piece over both holes inside the frame, if I recall.
You might check with a Chrysler dealer for availability or a wrecking yard.
If I recall the reinforcment piece was held by epoxy, of just the pivots themselves when tightened down.
Now that I've said all this, you probably should measure between the pivot holes on a CJ and Wrangler to make sure the distance is the same.

This is the best photo I have but you can see the plates I riveted on.

I Also extended 76+ wiper linkage to work on the 73.

Hum i see where the problem could be, i seen on another forum that some guy's shortered the little arm on the wiper motor so it reduce the pressure on the pivot.

If other want to do that, you only need to cut the widn't of a cutting wheel....if you cut more te wiper will have a smaller cycle....
