Is anyone running this, or has in the past? I'd like to put this into my 1960 CJ6, and was just wondering about people's experiences with it.

    Thanks.

Hey. I dont have any experience with the lift personally, but I've done a lot of research on lifts for the early CJ's searching this forum and others. From what I've read from others experiences, the Pro-Comp lifts are very stiff, but do soften a bit after a year or so. Many have found the ride to be pretty hard.
SkyJacker seems to be the lift of choice for your typical bolt on lift, while Holbrook Specialties is the lift of choice for great articulation off road, and a super comfy ride on road. With Holbrook, the fixed spring perches have to be relocated because the new springs are longer, which is the reason for the better ride and articulation.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the great responses. However, I should have been more clear....the Pro Comp kit IS what I am getting. Just wondering if anyone was running one.

    Thanks.

I don't know about the part number in particular, but you will definitely notice a harsher ride until it breaks in a bit. I've got one Pro-Comp and one Rancho, both 2.5" lifts and my first thought was good grief this sucks, but they did soften up. I suspect your longer wheelbase will help absorb some of the stiffness.

I have the Pro Comp 2 1/2" lift on my '71 CJ5. They bolted right up, but are a little stiff. I have a D30 on the front and used the '76 spring plates without the swaybar mounts.
