Can anyone please provide pictures of an open rear differential showing a 19 spline without any Power Lock and a 19 spline differential with a Power Lock? I purchased an Power Lock awhile ago because I knew nothing about certain things when it came to my Jeep and some things are needed and others I come to find out are not.

    Thanks

Looks just like any other open Dana 44 carrier. Just Google images for that and dozens pop right up.

This looks like exactly what I have in the front axel. I am not allowed to post photos here to show what I have in the rear.

The power lock just looks like a solid cylinder in the area where the spider gears are. What issue are you having?

RATTYFLATTY I think you need a little more throttle

I know it's not installed but here is a 19 spline Power Lock on the bench

Thanks for the picture, that is exactly what I have sitting on my bench and now it's obvious I have a power lock already installed in my rear end! Now I have a extra unit I don't need unless it can fit in the front housing.

I will Nick, this site is amazing and all the advice knowledge and support I have received has been invaluable. I have come to realize I really don't know as much as I thought about what I have or don't have in my Jeep. I want to thank everyone for their help and assistance.

Your second Powerlok will only fit a D44. Won't go in the front unless it's a D44.

Oh well, it was a thought. My front axel is a 27.

    Smoke and mirrors.:D

After you tear the first one apart it's easy to see how they work. The description has been posted here several times so there is no reason for me to add and confuse things.
