By the serial number (57548-148355) this is a May-built '62. May have been sold or registered later.

I have 1962 myself. I am the second owner. I bought it in 88.I noticed your heater is on the passenger side. My heater and air induct for it is on the driver's side. Do you know if the heaters were done after market? I do remember when I was a kid a heater in cars were an option.

The owner of the 1962 CJ5 featured in the 1st post of this thread is unknown. The video speaks of a dual heater set-up--with the belief that it was likely dealer installed. The common driver's side heater-core box is pictured below in a 1962 CJ5. The large diameter fresh air inlet hose to the heater is missing.[IMG]

You can buy these new. Check out Walck's, KaiserWilly's, MidWest Jeep or ebay. A lot nicer than using silver dryer hose.

I may get one. I don't use the heater. I have no top or doors, so I fail o see the point of buying it.

I have thought of maybe a soft top. It is fun running around without it though!
