Buick Lesabre 3800 Engine In A Jeep?

my work car (1989 buick lesabre, Detroiter edition) took a turn for the worse, and I am finally putting her to rest. 900 dollars for 5 years of good times. I took it to a shop because it recently developed a front end shimmy. the parts where the spring attach to frame are rusted through. its a super nice engine, with only 100K miles, and no leaks. hate to scrap it out, but I'm not comfortable driving it, or selling it to someone knowing the front end could collapse at any time.
this is a FWD car. can this motor be adapted to a rear wheel drive transmission and stuck in a jeep?

Though the pre-3800 rear-wheel drive (RWD) V6 uses the Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac (BOP) bellhousing pattern, an oddity of both the front-wheel drive (FWD) and RWD 3800 V6 is that although it is a 90° V6, it does not use the GM 60° V6 bell housing. For use in the FWD applications, the bellhousings on the FWD transmissions are altered slightly.

 

My other money pit is a Fiero. The 3800 is THE engine for fiero guys to upgrade to. If you lived closer I'd be interested. If you post in a fiero forum you could make some cash for an easier jeep upgrade.

 

Not really looking for an upgrade, just hate to scrap out a nice engine if someone here wanted it

Just sold the buick last night. Listed for 350.00 bucks. You wouldnt believe how many people try to figure out whats wrong with it. Its a scrap car guys. What do you expect?
