T176 Transmission???

    USMCCOMM 1980 CJ5

    I have a big question that you all may not be able to answer. I have the T176 tranny, it keeps popping out of third gear. If I buy the rebuild kit for it will that fix my problem or will I be wasting my time and money. Please help I need to get this done as soon as possible. Thanks Jack

    popping out of gear is usually the result of failed syncronizer rings. they do not come in most rebuild kits.

    84cj7er Thats not a pillow....!!!

    I found a kit on ebay for my t176...it was like $76 dollars and everything was with it including the syncros! Tranny is like new now all rebuilt with a new reverse gear!
