We found a movie last year made to demonstrate the "new" Monroe hydraulic lift and Newgren farm implements. Called "Revolution in Pleasantville" it was shown at live demonstrations of the Jeep as part of Monroe's 1949 "Revolution in Farming" ad campaign.

This is the same hydraulic lift that would be marketed and sold for the CJ5. Monroe produced the lifts until sometime around 1956.

You can read about it and see the 25 minute movie at 1948 Monroe/Newgren Movie Available For Viewing – FarmJeep.com

    Happy 4th of July!

PS - After showing the movie to family and friends we decided to add a written introduction to place the story in some context. Few of the viewers realized that horses and mules were still part of farming in 1949.

The film is special for a bunch of reasons. It is the only "infomercial" Jeep related movie we've found and the only video of many Newgren products, including the Newgren trailer. Then there are all the rare "lefty" (spare on the driver's side) Jeeps and discussions of Jeep dealer demonstration farms and of Monroe "test" farms.

I've watched the movie a dozen times and always see something new.
