Dauntless V6 Heater Hose Ports

Working on a frame off restoration of a 65 cj5. Adding a V6 to it, so everything is a new adventure. 2 questions:
#1 Can you guys tell me with ports are typically used for the heater hoses. My setup appears to have 3 possible ports. On Water pump, Behind thermostat housing and on the passenger rear of manifold.
#2 There are two 5/16" open holes on the rear of the manifold. What are their typical uses?

Hi Tony,

The larger one near the alternator bracket is the one I used on our CJ, and the smaller one is for a water temp sensor.

At the rear of the manifold, the larger connection is also the one I used. The smaller one is a manifold vacuum port, which is used for the heater controls.
