Sorry! Been busy at work. They have quite a lead time so they scheduled me for late January, right now the Jeep's up on a lift getting the rear 44 rebuilt and after that I'm cutting the rear spring perches off and moving them for better shackle angle, whoever did the YJ spring conversion evidently thought the springs would sag more. I'll post end results for the windshield here, thanks for all the information guys!
Fair warning, I'm more about function than form so I told them it didn't have to be exactly the same as long as it worked, might upset some purists.

Surely, I'll let you both know once I have the finished product so I can show you how it turned out! They're currently booked until late January. West Coast Automotive, San Clemente (949) 492-0710

Seems like a few of us are a hop, skip and a jump from each other here in Cali. I'll be in Norco next week picking up a pressure washer I ordered from Tractor supply Co. all though doubt I'll be rolling there in my CJ.

Good luck to you... we are waiting. But sometimes you find parts on EBay, or forum.
The fact is that someone well equipped and invoicing his time can do miracle.
In my place we have a specialist of WWII Willys and others WWII, I know the man, he says that customers want the exact part as in 1944, and they accept to pay.
The same as for painting, repairing a Vermeer is not cheap.
I wish you a good result with a correct price...

I had a semi-local glass shop (Homestead) cut 2 pieces for my venting windshield, using a broken side for a pattern. It took him 20 minutes to make both sides, and was $45/side.

And I paid 130€ for a 1/2 glass, "securit" glass (glass sandwich with plastic layer in the middle).
I gave the model, they said that what was expensive was cutting the round corners. Better to have a flatty !

Light green tinted laminate. The guy charges by the square foot I think his biggest sheet was 4'x 12'. He made mine out of scraps.

Any idea if he would be willing to do more? I need a set and would be happy to send you some beer money for making the connection.

This was a real old guy, and I'd be surprised if he would consider shipping. I wanted to drop off my pattern, and pick up the finished pieces a week later. He didn't want to deal with me leaving anything. He said I had to wait if I wanted the glass cut. I thought my afternoon was shot, but he knocked them out right then.
I'll stop by in a few weeks to see what he says.
