Dauntless Clutch Job - Need Pilot Bearing

I’m just still having issues trying to get the old busing out. 1 full loaf of bread later, grease, next is tapping it and hope that it moves.. so far it hasn’t moved at all. Pile of bread crumbs from the small pieces of bread that trickled out from the minimal spacing.

 

I ended up using a slide hammer with a hook on the end to get the pilot brg out of my 225. There was just enough lip on the backside to get it moving out.

I have the same setup as you 225 V6 with a T-90 (don't remember the letter identifer)

I had issue with procuring the correct pilot bushing as well. After getting a couple of wrong ones, just took the measurements of the flywheel and the shaft, called Novak and they sent me what I needed. As indicated above putting it in was a tight fit and I had to do some reaming on the bushing to get the shaft to fit after I installed it.

 

Yea I have that tool as well but the slide hammer slid out even when I tightened it down and hammered it out. Gouged the bushing as it came out. I have a bushing that I’m going to bore out a bit to .64 from .625 of shaft measurements

 

Bar soap, I say. It's never failed me. I recommend Irish Spring, if you've gotta go buy it, it makes your crankshaft smell great!

Those useless little decorative soaps that your wife/gf keeps in the guest bathroom work great too!
