Changed rear diff fluid in the XJ, rotated tires on the CJ5, ran the wiring for the lights on the M416 but haven't moutned or wired the lights yet. Got the hood for the 2A stripped, primed and painted and got the tub pulled off and frame rolled into the garage.

I finally got enough prep done on the CJ5 to shoot the primer today. I used Summit Racing DTM (direct to metal) Epoxy. Should be able to top coat color next week.

I shot the color on the CJ5 project today got it done just ahead of the rain. Which was a good thing, as I'm working on the body under a car port. No spray booth here.

I got started on the Final Assembly today. I mounted my swings pedals and brake booster/master + clutch master.
Then fabed up some side supports for an old battery tray I had sand blasted and painted.

After roughly 2 years the grip tape on my sliders was worn out. Last night I had a muddy boot.... slipped on the slider and banged my knee while getting in the jeep. :censored:
I knew I should have replaced it sooner....
    All new now!

The brake line kit showed up today 13 days fron So Cal to Nor Cal. Go Fed Ex.
I made up all new line and installed the residual pressure valves.
Then ran all the lines on the frame
Just about ready for the tub and frame to meet each other again.

I disasembled the headlight buckets and found a nice little mouse home inside.
Sandblast and VHT Aluminum worked wonders.
The chrome headlight rims cleaned up nice with steel wool and chrome polish, It's hard to belive they are 65 years old.

Servicing the rear diff. Crossed some water in CO, it had just a touch of froth. While I'm at it drilled and tapped the cover for a breather tube. Hose will run up into the wheel well and doubled over. Tapped the axle tube hole and threaded a screw in with sealent.
I thought i had picked up some backlash but its the Lock Right, according to the manual it's normal. Suddenly I don't care for it..

Having had lunchbox lockers in 4 different Jeeps now (about to be 5) that looks normal to me. But I typically only run them in the front and leave the rear open. Makes for a much nicer street experience.
