This is an ongoing Mystery. If a '76 -up side panel was used ( in which I highly doubt ,by the build pic's) , would the inside spare tire mount braces be there ???

Mine are , just the Bow Pocket indent is missing on that side ???? It's not body filled in , either.
My question would be this : Did they offer the side mount option in '76-up ?

Second question first - Yes, side mount was standard for the CJ-5 '76-up. Solid back panel was optional.

The parts book shows the same picture for all CJs of the sheet metal in this area, '74-80. The interior braces were part of the replacement inner fender house for these bodies.

Thanks Tim, They must of used that later panel , for some reason that I've been oblivious to. It's all metal, no filler , in that area. Anyway ,That's my winter project , so I was just stumped on the missing bow pocket . Happy Holidays.

I'm still working on putting together a 69 CJ5 basket case. I'm working replacing the floors and the center section has a hole that I can't find the reason for.
Can someone let me know what this hole is for?

For the PTO lever to stick through the floor if the Jeep was equipped with PTO. Otherwise there was a square cover screwed there from the factory.

What are these two rods? Are they part of the fold and tumble passenger seat?

They look like handles for a bottle jack. Small one goes in the big one for more leverage.
