Hi everyone. I'm helping an aunt with a moving sale. I'd like suggestions on price for the A Frame in the attached photo. It is roughly 14-1/2 feet wide and the height adjusts from 6 feet to 10 feet. The electric hoist is rated at 1/4 ton. My aunt was just going to leave it and let it be part of the sale of the property but I have a mechanic friend that might be interested in it. I just have no idea what it might be worth.

If he is a friend and your aunt was just going to leave it, give it to him. If that isn't acceptable, ask him to make an offer and take the offer.

Yeah. My aunt isn't trying to make maximum profit from selling stuff. We are having a garage sale this weekend. She was going to sell it with the property since it is rather cumbersome to take down during a sale with people around.
I wish I had my own shop.

You could have it for sale but note not to be removed until after the garage sale.

I have no idea what the going rate is but to me it would be worth about the same as two new harbor freight engine hoists, an engine stand, case of beer and the winch being 1/2 - 3/4 new.

500lbs is not enough capacity for an engine and transmission together so that might be something to note.

Depending on the I beam size - you have about $300 to $400 in steel. The trolly if it's good is @ $75. I wouldn't pay for the electric hoist as folks have said - too light. Mine are all 1 to 2 ton rated manual chain hoists I use.
