Carb Id?

Trying to order a rebuild kit but they wanted more numbers off the carb. I just don’t see anything else. How to proceed?

 

You could try any of these Jeep (Rochester) part numbers for a manual choke as used on 225:
7041185
7026086
7026082
7027082

 

The List Number should be stamped into the base of the main body. Not the throttle base. You might have to remove the carb and do some cleaning.

 

Are you saying it’s one of these? Or any of these will work?

That’s what I should have done but Now I’m trying to order the parts while I’m out of town for a couple days.

 

You will find that carb kit manufacturers kits cover several models with maybe only 2 or 3 added gaskets and the instructions that cover over 50-100 diff models. There are so slight differences for applications it makes no since for manuf to box up so many diff ones. You just use the parts for your carb. I have rcvd carbs that had wrong parts installed so don't think your carb just because the engine was running has all the right parts.

 

There is supposed to be a small aluminum tag under one of the cheesehead screws securing the top. These are often anodized a bright color, or can be silver, and will have the numbers needed for ordering a kit.
More than likely, one of the four numbers listed by Jim above will get you a proper kit for your carb. Walt’s comments are also spot-on; a kit often covers dozens or or more variations by supplying a few extra parts or gaskets.
