I’m trying to make sense of the mess that is the vacuum system on my 1972(ish) CJ.
I have searched a lot of places and found the 1972 was a unique year for the engine setup, but I can’t seem to find an actual vacuum diagram for it.
Sorry if this is a little long, I have a lot going on.
The vacuum lines and PCV setup are a hot mess. I feel like the PCV valve is on the wrong side as it is connected to the hose going to the air cleaner. The other large port on the valve cover goes to the engine, but has a tee in-line with a bolt stuck in a short piece of hose. One of the ports on the carburetor is being plugged with a rivet. The 3rd (small) port on the valve cover was going to the slightly larger port at the top of the carburetor.
The fuel/evap system is also a mess, but that can wait for another day.
Any insight or photos/diagrams would be greatly appreciated.
