Darn, the gas caddy in my first post has horrible ratings on Amazon:( It's bad enough when a pump won't pump, but when a tank may leak~ that's a big problem!

We use a polyurethane tank I think it’s 25 or so gallons at work for gasoline. It is gravity feed or siphon . Work fairly well.

I know I wouldn't buy anything from a company with such lousy photo-shop!

More seriously, I don't see any easy way to drain it or clean it inside.

I use plastic juice drums, and a siphon or hand pump. Not approved by the Fire Marshal, but they work, and way cheaper.

I'm just amazed of how much stuff we buy from "over there" that's just not good~ might look good, but generally not good. Very sad:(

Well, here's the thing, my Bronco holds 25 gallons in its aftermarket tank, I have put gas in it and again, and haven't a clue as to how much I have in it now! lol I do have 4 ~ 5 gallon tanks, but they're all full for "emergencies" but do use them up so the gas doesn't go "stale". I have to figure out what's wrong with the fuel gauge and really need to drain the gas that's in it out. You guys do know that I have a fleet of cars, just a caddy would be nice to have. Back to the Bronco, when I first got it, that 25 gallon tank was near full and I still have that gas in a few "gas cans"(I guess I could kill some gophers?)

yes, I know about that one, I bought one for my mom many years ago, I don't even know what happened to it!, but back then they were like 450. HOWEVER, there is a company called Handy Gas cady and it's actually made in AMERICA! go figure:) They for for like 1200 new and there is one(in the link below) for 500 or I'm sure obo. Time is on my side as I'm not desperate to part with 4-500 bucks;)
Ok gary's bugging me to watch some dumb show;)
    be back;)

Will this be used to transport fuel from the station to fill vehicles? If so you will need to think about loading transportation and unloading 200lbs of slishy sloshy fuel plus the 100 lbs of the tank itself, pump, and filter.

If I were to get something it would be on a chassis a lawn mower can move or even be on a small roadworthy axle or 4x4 harbor freight trailer.

I mentioned the Northern tool caddy for my Mom, I would bring gallons to fill it up. She took care of her 2.5 acres on the 27hp Craftsman tractor she had of which I maintained on a regular basis, prior to that, she'd always run out of gas, then after than, I made sure she never was without gas. I believe it kept her going as she loved her property. I would do the same I suppose, just bring back gas from the station, but as said, I need to drain tanks from the classics here to "rotate" the gas so it doesn't become stale.

If I were to load/unload the gas caddy from our truck, I'd just use my crane, but I doubt I'd have to do that, or just wouldn't be transporting the caddy.

no hurry, I'm sure a good one will pop up on FB marketplace sooner or later~ time is on my side;)

I just use an old fashioned steel 500 gal bulk tank that the local Cenex co-op fills once a year---------

I have one and never use it. A pain to get filled. Just easier to use cans.

Well, I bought a Handy Gas Caddy (Brand name) nearby. It wasn't in a good a shape as I had hoped, but I'm working on it, First thing I pressure washed the insides to remove what rust there was, then used about a gallon of phophoric acid to dissolve each side of the inner walls. Like lay it flat for several hours, then flip, then so forth. Looks nice on the inside but couldn't get to the utmost top.
I sanded it down, put a couple coats of Hot Rod red, actually Torch Red, I just like to call it HOT ROD Red! lol, followed by a coat or two of clear coat. This clear coat has no problems with gas getting on it, meaning it doesn't dissolve.

I sent an email to the company which makes these caddys, (go for about 1200bucks), I just wanted to get new decals, but haven't heard from them:( I thought maybe a MOBIL, GULF, or Pegasus decal and of course something saying Flammable or Gasoline.

actual add while it's still up:

This is the ad for it on FB, the owners have a really nice shop/garage, they're retired guys from a Toyota dealership and all they do is classic cars~ I wish I had got some pics:(

I was worried about rust breakthrough, but seems oK after pressure washing, then the phosphoric acid treatment. Probably should have done a gas tank repair thing, but did not. I'll fill partially with gas over the next few days and make sure there aren't any leaks, but again, looked pretty decent inside and the bottom.

The primer just covers bare metal that I sanded down to, self etching primer.

First coat of Hot Rod Red;)

    That looks great!
I have that exact same model in my race trailer. We would inventory 110 octane fuel in drums, suck it out of the drums and fill the caddy. The caddy then rolled into the trailer and we could fill the cars at the track.
You can see mine at the base of the photo.

You can get water slide decal as well as vinyl sticker paper for both inkjet and laser printers. I've used the laser printer varieties with great success for a number of things.
