    Hello there....
Here I am with a new question...
I bought a brake line kit for my rusty jeep. I will have to modify for the rear as the kit is not for long frame....
My problem of the day is, I loose many times and nerves to try to fit the small S tubes to the front drums. I double check the part number to be sure it is ok for the 59 cj... And it seems ok...

    The question :
    - am I stupid?
    - Is it the right part?
    - if yes, how do you make it fit the drum?

    Thanks a lot

Those are only used on the front drums. Normally I have seen two rubber hoses in front and a single hose in the back.

When I was working on my 5, I couldn't find those small lines. I ended eliminating them and using brake hoses from a ford pickup that had enough length.

I’ve since upgraded to 11” brakes which use flexible hose instead of the hard S lines. But if I remember correctly with the 9” brakes, I started by loosening the two wheel cylinder bolts behind the drum backing plate. Get the threads started on the axle side of the S line, then get the threads started on the wheel cylinder side (you may need to wiggle the cylinder around to get the threads aligned, hence the need to loosen the bolts) then tighten everything down.

Also possible that you need to adjust the bends in the S line slightly to get everything lined up. Should be able to make minor adjustments by putting one side in a vise and carefully bending the other side by hand.
