    I need some help with a Carter YF938. I rebuilt the carburetor. And fuel is dribbling out of the main discharge at idle. Above idle it runs great. The float is set. And the base has new bushings in it. I think I may the butterfly in wrong.

    Didn't lose the accelerator pump check-valve (ball/weight) did you? People often do, since they will drop out when inverted.

    There is a plug over the check ball. I did not remove the plug.

    When you say "the main discharge", to which part are you referring?
    Let's look at the needle and seat and the float setting. Is the needle solid metal or does it have a black rubber (Viton) tip? The float setting is different for each. Did you replace the float pin?
    Did you verify the inside diameter of the Low-Speed Jet (part #10 on Pete's diagram)? It may be too narrow.

    Whoa. Something ain't right, and I'm not sure what. I suggest you take five and double check what Scoutpilot suggests. He has the knowledge.
