Looking to put a Pertronix conversion in my Auto Lite IGW 4189. Is 1545 the right part#?
    The Pertronix website kinda sucks.

I don't know the answer to the question, but you should check with fellow forum member "oblvnnwtnjhn" before purchasing the unit.

He had the Pertronix unit and the Flamethrower coil which he had installed on his F134 listed for sale along with a Weber carburetor a while back. I bought the carburetor, not the ignition stuff. He may still have it, but even if he doesn't he seems to have a good bit of knowledge about this stuff.

No it isn’t. it will work but you need to drill new holes in the distributor housing . If you want I’ll send some pictures this weekend of what needs to be done.

Jeep peep69, I would like a copy of those pictures of drilling the distributor, if you would not mind.
    Thanks in advance.

Here is how I modified the distributor so the pertronix conversion would work on a autolite distributor

Seems easy enough, Where do the wires go? One to the coil I'm sure. Was this the pertonixs 1545? No condenser needed?

The wires go to the coil red to positive. Black to negative. Yes it was the 12volt 1545 kit..no condenser used just unbolt the breaker plate and stud the power wire from coil is hooked to and remove it and place the new one in mark the mounting holes and drill them and fasten it in hook up wires to coil and your done it does require remove the distributor to drill holes.
