    I don't like what appears to be a two piece caliper bracket or the need for wheel spacers...R&P is another option. The only thing I don't like about Brennan's kit is the spacers for the caliper where it bolts to the bracket. Be sure to red loctite those bolts - I had mine back out on the road...

    I like my k10 calipers and "thick" dana 30 rotors on all 4 corners. They are nice and stoppy.
    Tried and true, replacement parts are common and not "machined in house".

    yup. Available everywhere, off the shelf stuff and can be really cheap. There are so many write ups on this.

    Thanks for the info all, brakes aren't my thing (note the mis-spelling of brake and disk :worry:), so have very little background. i'll dig a bit deeper and do some reading.

    Kits are great for folks who'd like everything in one box and one place. I've looked at the Horsepower Sales version but it's pricey and I keep reading about home sourced versions like mentioned above. And considering I already have a 30 and flanged 44...
    If more knowledgeable types have the time to post up some links to good write ups, I'd be forever indebted. Or at least offer a DIPA if you swing by!

    ^That's what i did on all 4 corners and trust with my tail. Here is the direct link it is in the technical resources:

    It uses The 1.125" thick d30 rotor used for a year or two and gm front brackets with k10 calipers doesn't require any welding and the only machine work is to true the back of the hub. It is particular about what bearings are used in the hub.
    This is the biggest typical set-up for rotor and caliper and organic pads are readily available. Very well vented and heavy.
    No parking brake option other than a modified mechanical wilwood like @duffer used.

    I have the horsepower sales kit and it was very easy. I could have sourced parts and saved some $$, but this was my first car project, so I wanted something out of the box.
