Not really sure where to post this. Don’t really want to get into a tech discussion. Maybe others can and will but…..

…..so the remaining F head starters that no one wanted….I decided to give myself a lesson on them by taking them apart to save usable wear items that I will never need or use (yea, I’m stupid for wasting my time on it…a lot of time) and scrap the copper. If I were a religious man I would most certainly believe that there is a special place in the bowels of the earth reserved for the man or men who designed and approved said design of these starters. What a PIA to take apart. I suppose there are special tools for just such a job. I don’t have them.
Anyone planning to service one of these, be prepared for frustration and an unforecasted amount of time to do the job. Or maybe I’m just a beeg dummy.

Not sure you can get the field coils out without a poleshoe vice.
