Help With Rochester 2bbl Carb

This bracket seems to be missing on the Rochester 2G carb’s a lot.

 

The lack of that bracket does indeed make the pedal sit higher. Which made my Jeep uncomfortable to drive. Homersdog made a drawing where you could recreate your own.

Have you checked all the other leak points of vacuum loss? What is your manifold vacuuum read?

 

Turns out the air/fuel mixture was set completely wrong from the carb rebuilder. Went back to the FSM and set it based on that and she is somewhat good to go, still getting a little bogged down in 3rd gear at around 40mph. I am guessing I just need to fine tune it a little bit more.
