Herm Brake Master?

    I would avoid remanufactured for these. I tried a cardone 101292 and it had so much old pitting on it that the lid for the reservoir wouldn't seal. Ended up using a new made master cylinder that was for an early 70s CJ5.

    Amazon has some new masters that will arrive tomorrow and have free returns. I'll see if an early 70s CJ master will suit and return if it doesn't. It'll be easy enough to check and it's a third of the cost of Herm's mystery master without having to print any forms or mail a check.

    The originals also had a bolt on cover.

    I am also interested in finding a new master. Mine from Herm also leaks, but only a little.

    Mine leaked from day one. And I bought it long before I installed it. At the moment it's not the worst of my leaks, but I will have to replace it sometime.
