    Hello all,

I’m trying to find my dads old 1976 Jeep CJ5. Its vin number was J6f83EA066100. It was sold my a Mr. Green in Port Orchard, Washington around 10 years ago. Mr. Green doesn’t recall the name of the person he sold it to. I’m guessing it’s still in the Washington state area, it was black in color. I’m offering a $1000 cash reward for any information that leads to me location & purchasing the Jeep.
    Thanks!

Nice you have the VIN. I don't know if you personally can get the information, but the department of motor vehicles and some law enforcement can run a VIN. I ran the VIN on nicb's free vin check and all I got was it hasn't been salvaged and it hasn't been stolen, I guess that's a good sign. I have a brother in Port Orchard, beautiful area, brother and I are doing WABDR this summer. Good luck on your search.

In the 1940's my father bought a Deusenberg (for $50!). When he went to WWII he had to sell it. A few years ago I tracked it down to find that the engine survived and is in a collection on Cape Cod.

    Good luck.

Yeah lucky you have a VIN at all! With the earlier serial numbers, It's a dead end in vin search databases. I can only trace the history of ,my 64 back to 2012. Before that, who knows.
