Finished welding the brackets, and got the bumper in primer yesterday. Too windy and cold today to get the bumper in black.

So doing the ticky tack stuff that needs to get done, but I hate.

 

Cut outs for the new shock mounts, not pretty but works.


Thinking of placement for rear recovery points, thoughts?

 

I'ld use the same spacing as the front so any sort of towbar, carrier for a jack, or deer tray can be dual purpose.

In other words, you can store a towbar on the rear and not go pole vaulting at highway speeds.

 

Looks like a recipe for tailgate dents if you let it down w/o the chains.

 

Got chains, not worried about that.

 

I like that! and since I will be running my spare in the back, that will work out well!

Runs and all!

 

After getting a better look at the runs on the bumper, I may sand out and re-spray.

 

Good plan!
Granite is way better for removing runs from sliders anyway!

Well, I'm in luck, got 2 for $100, plus seat frames, I will get next week. Now I can do the 5:1 gear and still have a back up.

 

Pushed her out to get some Vitamin D.
