Curious; why do the gussets come separate? And what about a 30 axle?

The fronts are for Dana 30, 27, and 25.
Gussets are seperate because my initials are on the drawing...

So typically each break operation (around here) costs $3 and some places will figure each of the tabs individually $3 x 4tabs x 4plates... that's another $48. We will already be welding two sides so the third isn't gonna be a big deal.
They are sized to fit inside the channel for the nuts. I don't know off hand how many tabs we got (Kyle is doing all the lifting) but the design intent was to have 6 tabs per plate. I don't think the standard Ruff stuff plates have center tabs but the center straps are optional.
The tabs also don't take much more laser time seperate vs part of the flat. The seperate tabs allow better material usage having rectangular flats and tabs as filler in otherwise wasted space.
And last but most importantly tabs on the end of channels have a high rate of finger... incidents, I've run a laser and a break press in a factory and we all want to count to 10 tomorrow without using our toes.

    Edit:
These seem to be cut from a paint ready steel that is lightly galvanized so please use proper ppe and ventilation when welding and grinding.

The standard high clearance plate from ruff-stuff is for 2.75" springs.
If that or these 1.75" specials don't work you really are better off just flipping the U-bolts or having something milled.

Got mine in today! Unfortunately, the box came in damaged and I’m missing some of the gussets.

I have 22 of them. I need 36 total if I'm not mistaken.

Are they coming with 4 or 6 gussets per plate?

Just 4 as pictured above (same as ruff-stuff with the ends closed) I drew 5 or 6 tabs with carrier strip but they cut the plates and tabs entirely seperate and sent 200 or so loose.

4 should be fine but make sure you follow the ruff-stuff instructions and torque to just 90lbs.
If you are able to use the gussets on the inside and use plate to cap the ends that would be better. Best it to gusset inside. Plate the ends and strap over the gussets bridging the center pin. The way you want to attach the shock will play into the tab usage. I will try to finish this corner but I will be away from the jeep for a few weeks soon.

Yup....thinking of plating 3 of the 4 ends, and using a combo plate/shock mount on the 4th end - exactly how that combo will be is TBD. Getting these on the jeeps are low priority right now, but cool to have them ready to go for when the time is right.

    James I understand completely.

I'll try to narrate a few poorly lit pictures of the driver side front mock-up on my d25
First is the top view, the outer u-bolt is about 1/8" from the turn stop and the u-bolts are basically shifted out one bolt thickness. I will grind the front outside corner down to be flush with the washer then plate and add the shock stud. As it is I just need to rotate my tie rod clip for the shock to be happy.

    New vs old plate,

Shock hanging down from upper mount and steering all the way to the passenger.

Here is the start of the thread of the u-bolt right there at the plate with 7 leaves and a caster shim. If you have a thinner spring pack you will want to shim under the high-nut or between the axle and springs.
[IMG]20240430_130124 by Joe with a jeep, on Flickr

This is the expected result, about 1.25" extra thread on the u-bolts. I cut these flush before pulling the nuts off the old plates.

Basically I plan to copy their set up which looks like this....
but one of the ends may not be a triangular gusset, but more square with a shock mount welded to it. I figured I can fabricate my own side to side bottom strap....the welds may not look super clean but....
