Ok.. I still want to change the front axle on the pickup I have. How about the front axle (I beam) from a Dj-3A Jeep?? Would that I beam work on my 67 front springs?? Thanks again.. ALP

Musta missed it, what's wrong with the D27 that's there now?

A DJ-5 front axle might be a better choice unless you have a DJ-3 front axle available, that probably would be the same. Not sure on the front suspension though if they were the same or not?

    LWB ..they call me "Cooter"

Even if it was the same width, you would have to do some parts swappin'- the DJ3a had a 4 lug bolt pattern.

Sorry. Whatever the front differental is under the front I want to change.. I can't have the lockouts sticking out like that. I am putting on some chrome reverse wheels that have baby moon hub caps. I can't put them on with those lockouts sticking out of them.. What would you suggest I use for a front axle??

Put drive flanges on it then? Those should be able to be covered by a hub cap I think. Easier than changing everything around for hub caps, and you can sell the lockouts here. ;)

    Drive flanges

Seems like I've seen pics of Jeepsters with hubcaps on the front axle?

Don't know if that'd work. Just trying to help.

I figure that now I am going to fix it up some, leave the 4x4 the way it is and sell it.. So if one of you guys are up in Northern Mn.. I may have a different sort of jeep 4x4 for you.. ALP
