I got the guy down to 70 from 400ish but it still makes me want to walk away as I dont really NEED anything off it as I have straight fenders coming already... yeah I know worth is in the eye of the beer-holder

I paid $50 for my hood that was full of pock marks and needed plenty of skim coat. It was fairly straight. Your grill looks good, how are the fenders? It looks like an early 40s grill because of the parking lights, I think. Ask here www.thecj2apage.com

my grill I already have is in better shape, i think my hood is about the same I really would be buying it to try to pull patch panals out of the tub if repairable and I dont know what else as all mine really needs is fender and a drivetrain compared to this one...

Not worth it to me. The grille's been buggered, the LF fender crunched and I have a feleing the tub would self-destruct the second you took a panel ripper to it to cut anything off it.

id get it for $70, there is always someone who is desperate enough to buy a hood or damaged fender or grill for their project that you could atleast get part of your money back.

    I was told its a '48 2A... why would you say M38?

:iagree: The M38's didn't have Willys stamped on the hood did they?

Willys hood is a 2A or 3A. But dash and grille are military. Don't I see a battery box lid on the cowl?

yeah the dash screams m38. its got the bolt in instrument cluster and it has what looks like a glove box off to the right side.

I havnt seen it in person yet... I assumed the dash was just hacked up.... I didnt look at the cowl as I couldnt see it real well. but I see the little rise your talking about now.

the grill doesnt look any different then the 2A one I have... what flags that as military...?? I know the one I have is a 2A grill as it has chrome bezels...
I wanted to do a military replica so this might be a reason to buy it.

I took 220lbs of scrap to the yard yesterday and only got $8. I say get it for the hood and grill, maybe some small parts that unbolt like tailgate hinges etc. The tub definitly looks like trash.

Aren't those mounts for hinges at the bottom of the grill? M38 hinges?
