On a 75 CJ, what's involved in switching from a soft top to a hard top?

I found a Meyers Tin top for $300, "deluxe cab 5 window." How would I affix that to my tub? Any mods involved? I do have a full cage right now. Does that price seem in the right ball park?

Mine was on when I bought the Jeep. It fits like a camper shell. I don't like the way the P.O. fitted the top front to the windshield frame, just screwed on. I would like to fit an angle iron to the top, like a the bikini top channel, and screw to that. But hey, when it's cold it'll be the best $300 you ever spent.
I did take the doors apart and fixed all the rattles. I used 1/8 " cork strips to stop the glass from rattling. Mine came with the metal that bolts to the WS to help seal the door.
The P.O. also installed a later model factory full cage that just barely clears the top.
    Hope this helps.

Mine fastens to the tub with 1/4" (if i remember correctly) bolts. The windshield channel for the soft top will probebly have to come off to mount the hard top to the windshield frame.

Mine was fastened by 4 1/4" bolts and 3 sheetmetal screws in the windshield frame. Now I'm using 6 beam clamps (like small C clamps) and use 4 threaded screws in the windshield. In 20 min. I can either remove or install it with and xtra body to help lift on or off.

Metal hard top is very noisey and you'll notice a definite difference due to weight and wind resistance.

The biggest P.I.A. was to chase down the openings that cause the wind whistle. I sealed up the interior above the WS with Gorilla tape and the vertical pieces attached to the WS in front of the windows at the tops and bottoms. Weatherstrip in the front of the doors between the doors and the tub.
I left the softtop channel in place with no clearance problems.
