What lift do you all recomend 73' CJ5

I'm looking for around 4" of lift. Just wanted some of your input.

I think the wrangler springs are a good choice for that much lift. Not as hard as it first sounds. I have the BDS 4.5 inch wrangler lift on my 74. It is sitting on 35's. The Black one is a 77 with a 2.5" lift on 33's. The BDS 4.5 wrangler kit comes with 3.5" springs and 1" lift shackles. I am going to cut the shackles down as I don't like the long shackles. I also don't think it needs to sit as high as it does. I haven't driven it down the road yet. But driving it around out back it is incredibly soft spring setup.

I went with a Rancho 2.5 because I knew I wanted 31 inch tires. I went from a heavy stock setup to my rancho and my ride smoothed, and it's fun to drive. Stock setup was very hard and choppy. I wanted to keep stock gearing and drivetrain.

 

Here's my 74 with a 4" lift sittin on 33s.....loads of fun, it's an awesome ride.

I've got the same Black Diamond lift that Dana has on her '73'. It's perfect. Not too high, but enough for big tires, and it rides good.

 

I have 3 inch on my 72 running 31's under it right now but about to put 33's on it soon
