i just picked this poor neglected jeep up yesterday, aside from the color, there arent too many problems. I need new seats, new fuel lines, have to drop the tank, replace the radiator(guy i got it from gave me a new one luckily) and of course redo the brakes and put the steering column back in. I'll probably discover quite a few more things that need to be replaced or repaired.

I'll take some more "before" pictures when it quits raining. something about the old 5's they always seem to have a sad "help me" look to them. As soon as this rain passes by I'm going to paint it a desert sand color with the roll bar and windshield frame in black.

    after sanding and painting.

I was lucky enough to find the steering coupler in the JEEP and reinstalled the steering column. So i can steer and stop now. after new fuel lines and a new fuel tank it should run.

Took about 2 hours to sand and paint. I'm planning on going over the whole thing with steel wool to smooth it out a bit. I still have to spray the inside of the tub though.

I used the krylon camo spray paint. Took about 4 cans to do the outside of the tub.

Originally it had the 304 V8 in it, but apparently that was seized, and it had a strait 6 put in it. The strait 6 looks like its in really good shape, the rockers are still still clean, and have the blue lubricant on them.
