I haven't posted for awhile now, but I thought I would say that I finally found my engine for my Jeep. I was able to find an AMC304 that is not seized. I should have it here tomorrow and then I can begin rebuilding it. I am not sure how long it will take to get the jeep running but I hope not to long. I am anxious to drive it.

Cool! What was the original engine?I haven't seen to many 304's at reasonable prices.I have picked up a couple of 360 AMC's reasonably though.

The jeep had a 304 in it orginally. I was able to get it at a great deal as one of my employee's has family that has a car yard. It was in a javelin and is in pretty good shape. I just got done unloading it, if it wasn't dark I would take some photos to post.

    Photos of my Engine

I have some photos uploaded of my engine. I am not sure how much work will go into this, and I know I will need a few parts to start with, but here are the photos of the Jeep, and the Engine. http://picasaweb.google.com/cmciff/MyJeep (yes it is covered back up to protect the engine)

Cool , the rebirth begins! Are you going to hop it up,or keep it in stock form? How many ponies will that put under the hood?

I plan on keeping it as stock as possible. I odn't have alot of money at this time so the goal is to get it up and running.

I know that the engine came out of a Javelin but I do not know the year or what the horse power would be.
