I have 2 different D30 fronts with 2 different caliper setups on them. What would be the best the calipers that are held on with 2 pins http://www.autozone.com/images/products/fen/fenc252003.jpg or the ones that have the allen head with the slide on it like in figure 1 http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/1d/a0/17/0900823d801da017/repairInfoPages.htm ?

I dont know why it shows the same picture Ill try it again but both setup are 2 bolt design.

Unfortunately, your two links produce the same pic. I am using the Allen head type calipers (GM style). But I started with a drum brake D30 and converted it. I'm afraid without more info on your axles (like year, caliper bracket type..2 bolt or 6 bolt) you aren't going to get much in the way of answers.

For some reason I cant get the link to work right but the reason for the question is that I noticed on some web sites there are different opitions for different years of front disc and I cant figure out what year the axle I am using is. Is there any differance in the front brake lines or should they all be the same?

Is your existing caliper bracket held on with 2 or 6 bolts?

I think the two styles are commonly referred to as the "thin rotor" and the "thick rotor" styles. I have the thick rotor style on my 78 CJ-5, they use 1 1/8" thick rotors and the others use 7/8" (I think). The thick style use the slide clip design and not the more common two-bolt design. Just from looking around it seems the two-bolt design is more common and was used for many more years, thus is easier to find. I have had a hard time finding rebuilt calipers for the slide-clip design, but the two-bolt kind can be found at any FLAPS.

How much flex are you anticipating? You may want to go with extended brake lines. IIRC, the 'Banjo' style brake line is what you're looking for, but easiest is pull one of yours off and match it.

I have a 4 inch lift so I need extended lines but I just wanted to make sure any of the banjo bolt stlyes for a jeep would work.
