The wheel isn't in the middle from what I can tell, even though it appears to be. I've seen them in worse shape than that one that have been restored or rebuilt into some really nice Jeeps. What kinda plans do you have for this one?

Good luck man , Take your time , dont get discouraged and youll be cruising town on it by the time you get your license. Heres some motivation , I had to cut the bottom of my jeep out plus all the metal in the rear. Mine is running and been on the trails.Took about 5 months to get her in driving shape working on it almost every week night. But a jeep is never finished R)

Hang in there and be patient, Mine was not much better in allot of ways and now that its to late I wish I had taken some before pictures. I think its great to have a young man like you on this site thats got the backbone to tackle it...........We are all with you just keep the faith and keep asking questions..........The rougher they are when you start the sweeter they are to drive :)

My appoligies to CJ515438. I really thought the steering was in the middle and knew that wouldn't work. I was really ticked that someone would butcher a possible great jeep project. I feel a lot better now that this has been cleared up. My first rig was a Model-A ford. I was 13 at the time and loved every minute with it. You will remember this jeep for the rest of your life. Have fun with it.

Don't blame you; I'd have dragged her home, too. Heck, just ask mb82 about his "find," or look at "Cream Puff" down in my sig line. R) You're starting with more, me thinks.

I'd say your tub looks a lot more solid than mine did when I started. I don't know what the driving age is in Florida these days but I think you have a good 2 years to restore it and then have one of the coolest rides around.

I certainly wish I'd found a Jeep to drive at that age instead of the Volkswagon Rabbit I ended up with. Good luck!
