Bumpers done

    Thanx to all here who helped me find designs etc for the bumper I built.. Here it is installed. It has a 50% black powder coat finish. Next i will fab a set of gas can holders.. And a canoe rack. I welded a piece of 1-1/4" square to the back of the upright so i can use it as a reciever for the canoe rack.

    Pretty much. They go all the way through the 2"X4" tube and are welded from both sides

    Looks good. beer: Here's a tip I learned from experience: Don't tie the front support of your canoe rack to the windshield frame. Tie it to the front bumper. The vibration from the wind will do a serious number on the WS frame.

    That's the plan Tommy. I am going to fab anothe est of 1-1/4" recivers onthe front bumper to attach the rack. Like this one on my bud's Jeep.

    How thick did you go on the 2x4? 3/16"?

    Everything is 3/16" wall. cept the mount plate which is 1/2"
