Recently began installing Herm's dual master conversion kit c/w banjo bolts. I have concerns about the minimal clearance I can get between the rear banjo bolt & bell housing. (F head). Has anyone else had this issue & a happy solution?

My solution was the banjo bolt from the old, single chamber, master. But, it was not a one-step process. The F134 bellhousing is just really close and the side exit fittings are not ideal. When I had to pull the engine to work on clutch - it tore off the forward brake line (that goes to the rear wheels). It will be something that I will have to watch. (0.2 miles since rebuild so far...)

Mine worked fine with the banjo fitting. IIRC I had between 3/8 and 1/2" of clearance when the job was complete.

dohc281 It is what it is.

I had the same problem with my install and spoke with Herm. He said that sometime the trans mounts sag and shift and cause the trans to move. He suggested loosening the bolts on the trans mounts and to try and shift the trans over for enough clearance. This didn't work so I took a grinder to the bell housing and got the necessary room to fit everything in place.
