Is there any magic gas additive (snake oil, cure all elixir, cure for cancer, ect.) to clean carbon off valves & pistons. Does Marvel Mystery Oil work? Is this impossible? Some guy at NAPA told me you can add Kerosene to your gas but I'm not going to try anything until I fully research it.

    Thanks.

the easy way, but it makes one hell of a stink is to drive it to a remote location far away from people:rofl: with the engine hot and still running put a few drops of automatic transmission fluid down the throat of the carb, it will smoke like a freight train but it will loosen that crap right up, seafoam works well also and dont stink or none of that, you just add it to your gas, wouldnt recomend kerosene though

I've added about 3/4 of a dixie cup of water to the carb very slowly - once the engine was at full operating temperature. This seems to have worked for me.

aerosol products are on the market
you introduce them while at very fast idle, 2500rpm or so
empty the can, shut it off and wait, per instructions
    re-start and play throttle jockey
as mentioned, smokes like crazy, so do it weel away from the populace....
the factory Jeep carbon remover always worked well for me

I also use good ol H2O. I put it into an old squirt gun so I can control the amount of water squirted into the engine.
