Hi everyone. I believe that I might me needing to get a new thermostat soon. My 1973 fsm and haynes manual both say to use a 215 degree thermostat. The ones that the have at the part stores here only go up to 195 degrees. Which would ya'll recommend using?

hmmm...I'm sure others will pipe up, but I'd think a 195 will do just fine

I had the 258 in a 74 waggy and it ran just fine on a 195 degree t-stat, Any t-stat between 180 and 195 should run just fine unless there is some special emission control that requires otherwise to operate properly.

My 1975 FSM states the thermostat starts to open @192F and is fully @ 218F. I believe the 195F is the correct one.
