Can someone post up or send me a pic of the doors that fit this style top? I know they have a long piano type hinge, I'm trying to get a good side shot to see if I can convert them to a Meyer hardtop hinge setup. I know the Meyer doors won't fit, but I don't want a ton of holes in my tub to mount the others. Help??? Agood side shot/closeup of the mounting area will help alot. TIA

Sid, a larger picture would be helpful, also a .jpg image will be much smaller than a .bmp format allowing you to attach more photos before deleting and not running into forum software issues with upload size.

I have no pictures showing details of the door for hinging options per say. However, can you mount them to slide like the ad shows. That looks tight. No drilling!! I am know I have seen a couple with these tops on here. hopefully they can get you pics. Good luck.

Thanks Kevin, that helps alot. Looks like the piano hinge on that door is on the tub only, and not on the w/s frame. Not sure I could use Meyer hinges as the Meyer doors sit into the tub opening, not like the doors in your pic. Maybe use original soft top pivot in the tub rail and the w/s?? Wonder how hard it would be to make 'em sliders...............

Man, that is one ugly door:rofl::rofl:. I might use a softop door frame as a starting point and build a door to fit the opening. No extra holes that way8)8). That, or use my soft 1/2 doors and hang some curtains:rofl:. I'll let you know how it works out.

the meyer doors don't sit in the opening. they overhang by a couple of inches.

I think i would use the later YJ/TY style hinges and avoid mounting the uppers on the windshield frame.

I have that style hardtop also. The hinge bolts to the tub only not windshield frame. Have not installed top yet. Does anyone else have one of these ? It seems to hang over windshield quite a bit, does anyone have a picture of its fit near windshield ?

i took pics of my door hinges opened i don't know how much it will help but there is about a 1/2" difference in where the holes are on each side, i could not get a good pic of the windshild and visor are but the fiberglass goes in front of the windshild and the sheet metal on the visor is below the square channel on the front of the windshield and bolts from the inside so that only the two end bolts are below the wiper pivot, the edge of the sheetmetal of the visor should go down even to the windsheld wiper mounting bolts, the majority of the bolts are inside the shelf formed from the overhang. there are some more pics on my memberpage
