So I have been unable to drive my CJ% for the past month because it needs the brake lines gone through and has 1 bad front brake hose. So far I have over $200.00 worth of parts sitting here that I bought that are WRONG.

I buy front wheel cylinders from CarParts.com,they send me rear cylinders instead and only refund me 0.01,no joke!

I buy a set of hoses off an ebay seller,he says they will work with a 4" lift,I get stock lines, and he won`t take them back.

I now buy Stainless front hoses off of Krage Motorsports, and I have no clue what they sent me,but they are definately WRONG again.

Where can I get front brake hoses that will fit my stock-brake system 1962 CJ5 with a 4" lift????

I found the front cylinders locally for $45 each, made in USA.

What's your location? Most decent FLAPS will have what you need. Much easier to deal locally. $45 per wheel cylinder seems rather pricey.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    sure
you take yours in and ask for one that's 4" longer.
all the books should have hose dimensions
any good counterman should help you.
sometimes ordering parts doesn't go by the book..especially with Jeeps.

If you received the wrong parts from them, call him and send them back. He is a very understanding guy. He is a mom and pop operation out in the middle of no where. Very nice folks, even took Lieutenant mike and I on a tour of his shop and his toys. He will definitely try to make it right.

Your jeep may not be stock and that may cause problems with the hoses you purchased!!

I took my old rubber brake lines into my local Napa and they custom made stainless steel hoses with the correct ends to the length I specified.

I took hoses to NAPA and the counter guy couldnt find a listing for the 66 (or the part he listed was wrong). So he started digging through his parts books and in a few minutes found a hose that was one inch longer than what I needed and it worked perfectly.
Take your hose to them so they can see the ends, tell them the length you need.
Telling them you have a 4" lift might not get you the right length. We dont know if that means you need a hose 4" longer or 6" longer or somewhere in between. Maybe take a piece of wire and make up a hose length allowing for all the travel and let them know thats your length.
If the napa guys cant find it, the local aeroquip place can make it.

Sounds like you might want to give up on mail order at this point.

Krage Motorsports is a great co. I've had excellent luck with them, they should have no problem with an exchange.

yea i dont even bother trying to order that kinda stuff. Go to the pick-a-part and find ones that will work. If their too crappy buy new ones from that vehicle.
