Must the driver's side exhaust manifold be swapped when doing the Saginaw conversion or is there room to leave the exhaust alone? Also, any difficulties mounting the power steering pump below the air pump? Is the water pump the correct application as is?

I know the stock water pump is fine. The air injection pump was long gone when I bought my jeep so that I don't know about. The exhaust has to be changed to a rear dump as far as I know.

If I remember right the smog pump mounted low on the driver's side, so I don't t6hink you'll fit a PS pump below it. Unless you live near smog Nazis you can be rid of that piece of junk. There are a couple of brackets that work and of course you can build one. I found a PS bracket off a Buick 350 thats aluminum like the alternator bracket. Rides high and lateral to the head, so if you had to keep the smog pump I think it would fit.
As far as the exhaust manifold goes w/ the pump setting there and the steering shaft going through that way you're better off w/ a rear dump. The headaches of trying to get the front dump to work is not worth it.:v6:

When I had my 3A with a 231 I ran rear dump exhausts with a saginaw conversion, it was tight but fit OK.
