    will a smittybilt front bumper that fits 1976-1995 CJ and wrangler fit on a 1972 CJ-5

    Not sure if this will help but I installed a stock front bumper from a 79 onto a 71 and the holes matched perfectly.

    Should work the frame widths are the same, but some bolt hole locations may be diffrent. No big deal.
