    Hey Guys,

I've came across a 1967 Tuxedo Park and was curious what you guys thought. Minus a few things (tool box lid, seat frames, dash, hood, and grille are good), the body is pretty rough. It has the V6 (stock), all emblems, and the frame is in good shape. Odometer reads approx 38k. Clear title.

What is this thing worth? I know there were very few Tuxedo Parks made in 67', which is one of the main reasons I'm interested.

It was the last year for Tuxs. The emblems, tail lights, lisc plate holder, and maybe the bumpers are the hard to find parts. I hate to give an amount as that depends on your area. Where i am at, if i could get it for under 500, i would. But it all depends on what you are willing to pay and what you want to do with it. I know some here would say that is probably too much. That's my humble opinion....take it for what it's worth, as i haven't seen the Tux and you have....:?

There is one for sale in Dayton for $3500 and it hasn't run in 6 years. Tux's are cool because they have more bells and are considered best or top of the line but as for worth it is what the buyer will pay. I would love to get one for my right price but I am older and my price is considered whole sale by some.

Well, here's how I see it, from what you've told us. A nice Park in good condition or better might fetch 5k - 7k. This one needs what sounds like a lot of body work. The body work and a good professional paint job will cost you a bare min of 3k and I'm thinking that's a very conservative estimate. The paint job alone could easily run that much. No mention is made of it's mechanical condition but I think we can assume that if the body needs work, then the rest of the JEEP will likely also need some attention. Not too hard to lose a couple grand here between tires, tune up, fluid changes, paint, etc. You at 5k real quick. I'm tinkin' you need to get it pretty cheap and be into the work involved. I like the 500 range mentioned above. Maybe up to 1k if it's running and drivable, safely on the street, or even 1500. 1500 for a running, inspected 4x4 isn't horrible. Keep us posted.

Any chance of getting some pictures of both of these Tuxedo's?

Well guys, I bought it AND I'm pretty excited. Keep in mind, I wasn't interested in this thing because of its "beautiful" sheet metal (except for the hood and grille) :)

As of right now, I don't have any time to begin working on this thing BUT I do plan on completely overhauling the engine and putting in my 65 Tuxedo Park that received a lot of love this past summer (Detroit Trutrac, 30-spline full floater kit with lockouts, full rebuild of front end including a double-hole passenger side knuckle, and 11" brakes on all corners). I'll probably keep my T90 that I just rebuilt last year and buy an adapter from AA.

I'm fairly short on time right now but I'll post more details when I get a chance. In the meantime, here are a few pictures!

Oh yeah, I already took the license plate frame and light off because it wasn't secured very well... what a surprise!

Sweet! lots of good parts there and possibly a runner Jeep. I know lots of folks here have started with worse. I would personally look for a used GM adapter to T-90. LOTS of them floating around. PM me if you want to go that way. I don't have any but I think I know where a couple are and can put you in touch with the folks who have them. They would probably have the long input shaft needed as well. I'd check the T-86 out as well that should be in that Jeep. May be in good shape. If not any good parts are in demand.

Definitely needs to be brought back to it's originality as much as possible. A lot of Tux there to start with.
