Mine has the same round hole, but the rest was gnawed away by an angry shrew. I do not have a PTO, so I'll just patch it closed.

The photos are from a Prestolite out of a 69 225. I was just pointing out that there's not too many pieces under the cap.
There's not many pieces to them. Easy enough to drive the roll pin out and disassembly and repair.

I use Dupli-Color Cast Iron Paint so it still looks like cast iron, but without the rust.

1969 CJ5. The edges on yours look like have been cut off a different frame and then welded.
